Post-Consumer Content, Not Only Factory Scrap
The recycled input used for these programs comes from ceramic goods recovered after their original consumer use. Recovered ceramics are sorted, cleaned and mechanically processed for use in a new ceramic body.
This differs from a claim based only on pre-consumer manufacturing scrap. YST’s current recycled-content basis is 50%+ post-consumer recycled ceramic measured against finished product weight.
The final recycled-content percentage, product performance and documentation route are confirmed during development. New shapes require formulation review, sampling and buyer approval before bulk production.
